Rob Wasinger, Republican candidate for Congress in the First District of Kansas, will open a fully-staffed Hays field office Monday.

"I am excited to open a campaign victory office in my hometown of Hays," Wasinger said. "Our Hays field office will further expand my ability to get my message out of economic growth and prosperity for rural Kansas."

Wasinger will host a grand opening on at 5:30 p.m. Monday. The event is open to the press and the public, and light refreshments will be served. The office is located at 108 E. 12th.

Wasinger's headquarters is located in Cottonwood Falls, where he resides with his wife, Meghan, and their nine children.

Wasinger is a fourth generation Kansan, born and raised in Hays. Wasinger has served Kansas as an aide to Bill Graves, Jerry Moran, and most recently as chief of staff to Sam Brownback.
